The four qualified staff work together as a team, with each person having equal say in the program. The staff at Boat Daycare believe in consistency. Though teachers may deal with situations in their own personal way, all staff believe strongly in the philosophies described in this web site, and try to live up to them. Boat Daycare is a unionized centre. Staff members belong to the British Columbia Government and Service Employees Union.

Lucky The Dog

The children's experience was enhanced for many years by the presence of Lucky, a black Labrador cross who belonged to one of the staff members and attended the daycare regularly. Sadly, Lucky passed away on December 29, 2007. His gentle presence is greatly missed by all.
